Russia Partners Company, LP, was created in 1994 to make direct equity and equity-related investments in companies operating in Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union. RP I had generated support from both the U.S. and Russian governments. OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corporation) provided a guarantee facility to the RP I and RP II investors and the SIC (State Investment Corporation of the Russia Federation) was an investor in RP I. RP I is now fully invested and harvested, with numerous profitable realizations.

Russia Partners II, LP, which was raised in 2004, invests in portfolio companies in need of growth or expansion capital and in companies where value can be enhanced through management or financial improvements. This style of investing requires a hands-on, value-added approach where management of portfolio investments is as important as investment selection. Given the depth and range of experience of the investment team, Russia Partners believes it is positioned to enjoy a significant competitive advantage over other private equity investors in the region.
